Wow, dkol, they really put something up there for the celebration!
Do you know if that Nieuport rudder with Lt. Adam's name on an original part from his victory collection?

And then pic 15 - you have one of the last still existing Roland D.VI there in Poland,
and I hope one day there will be enough interest and money available, to reconstruct
the missing wings, and to renovate the whole aircraft (see pic below - Source: Thomas Genth).
The way that fuselage is built, is amazing - like Italian race boats of the 30s!

I'm glad that you like my photos. I also hope that Roland will get new wings:) Presented at the Museum, LFG Roland D.VIb, No. 2225/18, took part in the second event fighters in Adlershof. After the war he went to the German Air Collection, and finding in 1945 in Poland. Wrecked fuselage broken into 3 bigger and dozens of smaller fragments merged (by playing at this part of the frames, and many pieces of the shell). All original pieces are back in place, all impregnated with a special resin varnish (as in the original). Exhibited in Cracow Roland D.VI is the world's only surviving copy of this type.

These photos are great, dkol - thank you for sharing!
Since the craft seems to still have the engine in it, it might well be possible
to even get it airworthy again. THE VINTAGE AVIATOR are specialised on that.

Maybe the owners should get in contact. VINTAGE AVIATOR might perhaps do it cheap, as they would get the chance
to measure and copy every single part of the original, and so build their own replica.

Yeah, that Roland definitely deserves new wings. It looks a litle forlorn otherwise.

I agree with Olham. I'm a mere layman in these things, but the fuselage appears solid. If the Roland's engine works (or can be made to work), then she might be made airworthy.
