Can somebody please build this thing in DCS already?

Because I can amuse myself pretty much forever in Nevada (or anywhere else for that matter) with this jet modeled to DCS standards.

It's iconic, it's worldwide, it fits in virtually any scenario in some capacity. It just gives and gives.

So what do you say? Can you drop whatever little project you're currently working on and get busy on this jet?

This one is a first day buy for many players, probably the most profitable if done right. It just can't stay unbuilt.

All with toonces, I actually think it, the F-4, would do more use than that F/A-18 they've been talking about the last 504 years.

(and right after release they could make me a Viggen, old style AJ-37. hell yeah. right. will never happen. but I can wish I guess haha).

The F-4 is a 'crew of two to fly effectively' aircraft.

So until that function has been built into DCS World (two guys operating the same aircraft and everything actually working as it should), I would say it ain't gonna happen is it.

The Huey has an AI copilot, so I don't see why an AI GIB would be impossible. There's been some mention on the ED forums about things being classified, but if ED are planning to make an F/A-18 of any variant, then that's even more classified, so I'd definitely call BS on that part.

An F-4 would be incredible!

A DCS quality Phantom will be so awesome. I'll take a F15C style (with AFM and no clicky pit) version if the full DCS version is a hassle.

F-4 stuff classified? Uh, I can't imagine anything about it that is still classified that would be necessary for DCS. Especially if you model an older variant. F-4G, F-4S, F-4F ICE, yeah fine, there could be some sensitive stuff still, but not a classic F-4E or F-4J.

Not saying I don't want one (I do) but a co-pilot in the UH-1H has very different job than a Weapons Systems Officer or a Radar Intercept Officer has in an F-4

I guess that if too much stuff(or at least 1 important) can't be done because of classified, you won't do the product at all(no guesstimate)?

and here is a quote from PMan on ED's forum

Quote:
It depends on the system in question, but if there is what we consider too much to be able to do a fair job to the aircraft then we wont do it (Read Tomcat and Phantom)

and they are doing a Tiffy and a Longbow.... so I guess we wont see those in a long time frown

Sounds like they have or are going for military contracts for those 2, which would allow them more freedom and access for creating DCS modules... the Tiffy is due out in early 2015 I think...

Yeah, they'll just leave the secret stuff out - same as it was with the A-10C systems.

Also, if they can make a system that does the same function, but in a different way, I'm sure that would be an option, too. At the end of the day, the only poeple who'd know would be those bound to keep stumm.

MilViz is likely open to licensing 3D Assets, Likely 5 Digits.00

I think we (VRC) inquired about it for the F-100D External and Cockpit at one point.

That was for Pit and External, I have numbers in my Skype Logs somewhere, but, that was about a year ago.
