I still think it's the best air war movie ever made. It even has a great soundtrack.

Iron Eagle. LOL.

Not sure which came exactly first, Iron Eagle or Top Gun. But I remember loving Top Gun and the bitterly disappointed with Iron Eagle.

If I remember correctly, the flight sequences are a jumbled collection of random aircraft shots. In a single sequence an F15 will take off, Kfir does a camera fly past & a Phantom delivers the attack.

Yep, and the cockpit shots jump bw real, and 'audience'. Never seen 2 or 3
but I understand they took the same air footage and flipped it.
