DCS Newsleter July email "confirm" Belsimtek working on a Mig-15Bis module, Now is the time to make the switch from advanced modern jets like the F-15 and Su-27, with their automated control systems, powerful engines, and sophisticated targeting and weapons systems and put flight and fight back into the hands of the pilot in the cockpit and his workhorse fighter. Aim for the vulnerable engines when targeting bombers using guns only and master the maneuvering fight against the MiG-15 (now in development!).

Why? So far they've released 2 rotary airframes vs one fixed wing. BST currently the only team working on helos (except Gazelle/Bo105 one man projects). If they develope now also fixed wings it means no one is working on helos. And it is still a question when at least their first module gets finally finished.

I am looking forward to the Cobra as well... but it just makes too much sense to put out the MiG-15 ASAP...

I admit the practice of releasing a new beta when the previous one isn't OUT of beta can rankle, but I'd really like a MiG-15, too, and I never cared enough about Hueys or Hips to buy either of those.
Cobra, Havoc, Hind? I'm there! Hip? Huey? Meh.

TBH, that doesnt really confirm anything other than the AI MIG-15 being in development (current MIG-15BIS is still WIP Obviously). But Hey, The more the merrier, There was already renders posted by a user on Military Meshes showing the MIG-15 pit... That's all the proof I need.

Same for me regarding Sabre/Mig15. BST currently the only team working on helos (except Gazelle/Bo105 one man projects). If they develope now also fixed wings it means no one is working on helos. And it is still a question when at least their first module gets finally finished.
LOL, overstatement of the year. Huey still not finished. Not sure if my statement is exaggerated. :p

What? Seriously? Get a grip on reality. In fairness, neither of you know for sure. Belsimtek might have people working on helicopters or they might not. Any assumptions about this are just guess work. That said, I agree with you that the fact they're working on fixed wing aircraft doesn't inherently mean that they're not working on helicopters too.

Any assumptions about this are just guess work. True. But if you see since how long we are still waiting for the Huey systems get finaly finished (EGT etc.) and if you see on which modules BST was working during this time then IMO it is very obvious that nobody was working at least on the Huey anymore. Sad that they still can not say something specific about this. But it seems that Huey doesn't get finished during 1.2.9.

That could be as well. There might be some 2.0/EDGE-specific fixes they're sandbagging that has freed them time to work on other things.

The UH-1H, as is, is simply amazing. I also enjoy the Mi-8 and have finally progressed in learning how to arm and aim its weapons. The F-86F is a blast, too! Adding a MiG-15bis would just make the DCS party even better. Also about to get an Fw190D9 and MiG-21bis... mmm, mmm, good!
