To use the shift button.
Designate one button to be the shift button...I use the throttle middle button (button 3). Click on the Shift square (located at the top right) so that there is a check-mark. In the Normal Action, type in the word " null " (no quotes).
Then go to the button you want to have a secondary action.
For example - On the fighterstick, Button 4, you may have under the Normal Action the keystroke command for autopilot " A ". You can also put a command in Shifted action (below). You can put the keystroke command for Flap toggle " F ".
When you are in the game, you would push button 4 only to turn on the autopilot,
To toggle the flaps, you would push the designated shift button (Button 3 on the Throttle from before) AND button 4 on the fighterstick at the same time...this will execute the command for flaps.
Get it?
