I knew that sumo wrestlers purposely ate a high calorie diet to sustain their desired weight and energy level, but I was never aware of any particular recipes that might be considered traditional toward that purpose. As it turns out, "Chankonabe" is a stew that is specifically aimed to meet a sumo wrestler's needs for weight and energy maintenance.
