Just a few I'm curios about. I know Strike and Strike Escort are self-explanatory, and I know SEAD is Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses, but what it BARCAP, TARCAP, and BAI? There are a few others I'm curios about, but I have to wait until they come around in the campaign again, since I currently can't remember what they are. Thanks guys!!

Thanks, Triple!! That helps alot. I'm still wondering what a BAI is, but since it looks like the next BAI mission is going after an airfield, I'm guessing the I stands for Interdiction, or something like that.

"Battlefield Air Interdiction" I have no clue how it's different from just plain interdiction.

Attacking an airfield is usually classified as OCA. What's the exact mission in the brief?

Hey Frederf. I hadn't actually looked at the briefing until just now, and you're right. We are to seek out enemy ground units in the area and destroy them. They should be a tank force moving along a road. I assumed it was an airfield strike, since the road they will be moving along is just to the north of an enemy airfield, and I hadn't looked at the briefing or zoomed in on the map until just now.

I see, from the link that Triple provided that OCA stands for Offensive Counter Air, or the destruction of enemy air assets and capabilities, such as airfields. I apologize for all the acronym questions... I know it's trivial, but it's a mix of curiosity and knowing for realism's sake. Thanks again!!

I think the difference between interdiction and BAI in Falcon speak is that BAI is against an area target and interdiction is a specific unit or maybe it's the other way around. It's probably most important for AI and/or success conditions.

Ask away, these are not bad questions at all. And that's on top of the old adage "the only stupid question is the one you don't ask."
