Not a huge fan of HDR but these are pretty awesome, the engine close up on the trimotor and the P-40? cockpit really stand out. thumbsup

This is Bobby Rahal, thanks for playing the trial version of Microsoft's CART Precision Racing

So much not a fan, I'd love to see the "un-ruined" originals. biggrin

There is realistic HDR and "over the top HDR", you are in the latter...

For me, HDR is more to enhance the picture than to make an "artsy HDR"..

Some people either really like the artistic HDR and appreciate the effects, and some do not. I will post the originals as soon as I can and they do look good. Thanks again.

I flew my plane into Sun n Fun again this year. Got a picture like yours in the same place. I have a buttload of photos from Sun n Fun.

It's fitting because of the Thompson. I have one.

I have no ability to take good photographs.

thank you, I'm right here with you. IMO, way over done with HDR. I had to drop a FB Photog because he was doing the same thing with his shots and I just don't get it, but others do.

I understand it's appealing to some people and I don't mind landscapes that have been fiddled with, but with photos of warbirds, I want to see what the machine actually looks like, not after it's been processed more completely than a block of Velveeta cheese. biggrin

LOL, OG, I love the case for your Thompson! biggrin

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
On the closeups (engine, P40 pit, rear gun stand) I like the effect. As soon as too much landscape/sky/background come in, it doesn't work for me anymore.

The style reminds me (engine especially) of what some people did with Airbrush in an artistic way.

Isn't that the way everyone carries a Thompson ?

I'm not a fan of that look. That style is a trend that I hope meets a quick end when it comes to photography. Please don't take my comment personally, it's not you, it's the style. I'm a hobbyist photographer myself, and know it sucks when someone dislikes your work.

I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

I liked them they're very different looking. I also like the originals too I think there is nothing wrong liking one or the other or both for that matter. Thanks for sharing your pictures!

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

I guess I will have to post the originals since it seems so many of you (those who right negative comments) are taking HDR personally, lol!!

I love great shots of warbirds, but I think there's plenty of room in the world for HDR shots like these.

Enjoyed them thoroughly and don't see any reason to post if you didn't like them.

Seeing familiar things in new ways is good, and I enjoyed the eye-sizzling effect. I tend to look at aircraft as magical beasts, anyway.

Thanks for posting those pics.
