It'll be worth the wait - M1TP2 has its frustrations but it's still a classic sim.

I remember when we waited for the interoperability between Gunship! and M1TP2 but the project was abandonned :/

Has anyone been able to run mods with the Steam version of Gunship, specifically the HeloSwapper and/or Mod M8?

I'm no expert on GS!, but what's the problem? The Steam version of the game should be basically identical to the CD version, except it will just be kind of No-CD hacked. As far as I'm aware, all mods and programs should work fine... unless there are any that specifically require the game CD to be present... but I can't imagine that would ever be the case.

How do I install the mods for the Steam version since they weren't designed for it?

How else can I fly the AI helos and the third-party add-on ones like the OH-58, V-22 and AH-1?

Me too I was very disappointed when the project was cancelled
In retrospect It well have been the case it was to ambitious for the then technology to handle.

Hey guys, I already have the CD version of Gunship! and have been trying to get it to run on my Windows 8.1 laptop. It can start the game if it's in compatibility mode, but the problem is that I end up with horrible framerate and graphics bugs. The ground textures only work correctly when they're about 300-500m away, and when I get closer, they disappear from the ground and I start getting random texture snippets rendering in my face! Unfortunately, this makes the game pretty much unplayable. Does anyone have an idea of what I can do to fix this?
