Currently when a hellfires target gets destroyed it selects a new target. I don't like this I would prefer it if the hellfires just stick to their initial target. This way I can fire -> switch target manually -> fire -> switch ...
without having to wait for the previous hellfire to impact.

if we are talking about AGM114R "Romeo" - it's semi-active laser guided missile, it means it's not Fire-and-Forget. use AGM114L "Longbow" (radar guided) instead.

but with the AGM114L I have to maintain LOS on the target throughout the entire missile flight.

there is no LOS check for longbow hellfire, only thing - missile lock on target after climb (motor burns out, about 4 sec). or something works wrong?

Iarmannjan if you launch an AGM114L using the TADS you must stay cued on the target, instead if you use the FCR you can enjoy Longbow Hellfire's fire and forget capability.

You mean because it's jumping around on the radar? Lock the target. It should say Lock, just as you would with FLIR. With radar, it doesn't necessarily require this, though, and doesn't happen automatically.

The way the Longbow Hellfire is supposed to work, by the way, is in LOBL the Hellfire fires direct and locks on with the missile's radar prior to launch. LOAL is supposed to require radio updates until the terminal phase when the Hellfire's radar takes over. I'm not sure if EECH models these radio links or the necessity to update targeting information when the object moves.

Also, realize that right now a certain percentage of the time the EECH targeting system is off. Whether it's missiles or cannon, some targets appear to have a discrepancy between where the object appears to be (and apparently is in the sim) and where you and your wingmen appear to think the object is. This is why some tanks, for instance, will appear to survive ridiculous numbers of missiles and are still there.

The term "necroposting" was invented by a person with no social memory beyond a year. People with a similar hangup are those o.k. with the internet being transient vapor.
