My game is intermittently freezing and going to the outcomes screen. It doesn't happen everytime and I haven't tried a fresh reinstall, I was just curious if someone knew just off the top of their head what was causing. I've included a copy of the part of the log that describes the error.

Don't try to self analyse the logs. The error isn't failing, it's just commenting on your selected mode not being available. Unless you randomly change your graphics mode it can't be the cause of a random failure.
It also has absolutely nothing to do with outcomes or the manager showing you info from the game.

If you are running mods remove them and see if it is Ok.

But see the FAQ on our website (downloads or help page has a download) there is a help section 17) which is devoted to unknown issues or random failures.

I haven't heard of any random outcomes failures so something odd going on on your PC there. AV intefering?

Especially if you are running my DirectX mod!
I will check whether this message is actually related to my mod, but it is quite likely so. My mod uses some workarounds to set display mode properly (Microsoft changed it between DirectX 8 and 9) which may confuse the WOFF launcher.
