I saw Dr. Detroit on cable in the late 80's. I thought it was pretty funny but it's definitely one of Dan Akroyd's forgotten films.

Dr. Detroit is one I actually went to see in the theater. Thought it was funny at the time but not overly memorable.

BY FAR, my favorite film of his is "Blues Brothers". The original of course, not that abominable sequel.

The first one was awesome, and Carrie Fisher was still hot then.
I never saw the sequel. Is that the one with John Goodman?

Thought so, the trailers were enough to convince me it was going to stink big time.

Interesting trivia about the US:

When the first Federal census was taken in 1790, the estimated population of the country was 3.9 million.

The estimated population of the US today is almost at 330 million.

So in 228 years, the US population has grown by almost 100 times!

Would be interesting to know how many of today's 330 million are blood relations actually born in the USA to those 3.9 million.
