Want some info on the Xbox One by someone who already owns one and has been using it... Thanks.

1. Headset come with the system now? Thought it didn't then did.

2. Are the new releases being released as digital downloads as promised or not yet? IE: all the EA Sport titles, Battlefield 4, Forza Motorsports 5...etc etc

3. how do you use and is it easy that capture tool? Does it capture video, screens, or both? does it capture in HD? How many minutes of last gameplay captured? it's editable right? and what upload service is supported? You Tube? in HD?

4. That kinect 2 thing...IYO worth it or not?

5. How are the games playing? We always hear how the PS4 is better at 1080p... but when playing the intense games is there pop up? does it lag? frame rate hits? or some like butter?

Thx.

oh... and... can you daisy chain your Xbox 360 (or other console) through the HDMI input on the ONE, and then does that device start up within the one, or just daisy chain through?

and... I have a comcast cable box, how does that how up to the One, through the cable wire or HDMI output through the one to the TV?

Thx

I can answer some of these without the Console:

1. Both The Kinect and Kinect-Less Bundle Come with: (this is the contents list for every website, check box panel in local stores).
Xbox One Console, Wireless Controller, Chat Headset, HDMI Cable, Power Supply

3. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/apps/upload-game-dvr

4. Depends, I Might keep it, just to have voice commands and video conferencing, even with the GPU Reserve Disabled in games, it will still track voice commands.

5. 100px Resolution Difference between most of the cross platform games are barely notice able,
what is noticeable is when games don't use FSAA at all, even at 1080p, i've seen 900p games look better than the 1080p version due to FSAA.
I've seen PS4 Games Choke themselves at 1080p (BF4 being one of them.) when a lot of stuff is happening.

Some notes about Xbox One Packages.

Most Online Sites I've looked At, the $499 Kinect Version comes with a Game (most of the time FM5 or Titanfall), and rare cases FM5+NBA

Example:
For $499, Tiger Direct has Xbox One w/ Kinect II, FM5 and $25 Xbox Live Gift Card or 3 Month XBL Card,
For $499, NewEgg has Xbox One w/ Kinect II, FM5

So $399 + Fm5 is only $40 Less, and If you don't want Kinect II, sell it on Ebay.
(I'd wait till Standalone comes out, as you should be able to sell yours for $80+, which means you make money off the unit)

Even if you Get a $499 unit now, Kinect II Separately is rumored to be in the $150-$200 range. so you can still sell it for profit.

This summer I'll prolly spring for an XBox One since I should have funds available.

Getting FM5 Free with online package is prolly what I'll do, and then with Games for Gold, it will keep me interested.
But for Shooters (ie BF, etc, I stick to PC.) Only Reason I want an Xbox One is the Halo Master Chief Edition and another BluRay Player.

As for Question 2., I'll leave that for someone that has the console already. Personally I digitally download now, unless I just happen to be at a game stop on release day.

But Like I said, if you want to Maximize your Money Spent.
Get the KinectII/FM5 Bundle.

Leave Kinect II in the Box

Wait for Kinect II to launch in the Fall, Sell on Ebay as "New w/out Original Packing"

Sell off FM5 Code or Disk for $50 or so, and wait for the "Game of the Year Edition" which should include more tracks/content this fall.

1. Yes, it comes with a headset and has since they were released. It uses a particular connector though, but they now sell an adapter so you can use older headsets with it.

2. Yes, but you can't pre-order anything, you just have to buy it on launch day. I got Watch Dogs on launch and Titanfall 2-3 days after launch. I got CoD on disc, which unless I get something older second hand, will be the last disc I get for the One. I never sell back games, so having digital and being able to go from game to game without swapping discs is nice. I believe they are going release an update at some point so you can pre-order digital titles but I am not totally sure if or when it will happen.

3. The capture tool only does like 30 seconds at a time, not really worth it for anything other than "Oh that was a cool moment" For anything longer you would probably still need a dedicated game DVR setup.

4. I use it, but only for voice commands. I have my DirecTV box hooked up to it and use Kinect for controlling that more than any other feature on the xbox. But thats mostly because I have a 2 year old running around and he loves to punch buttons.... so its easier for us to hide the remote from him. I do also occasionally yell out for the game DVR but I usually even forget that it exists when I am in the heat of the moment gaming.

5. I haven't noticed any issues playing anything. Of course, I only have 3 major games, and a couple of arcade titles at the moment.

3. "There are two ways to record video on Xbox One. First, you can say "Xbox, record that," and the system will automatically isolate the last 30 seconds for faster editing later on. You can also launch GameDVR and select the interval of time you want to save from choices of 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, or 5 minutes."

GameDVR has 2 modes, the Quick "Xbox Record that" for the quick moments.

And the GameDVR Editor, as it records in the background the entire session.

As for Xbox 360,

I know people that have different setups:

ie:
-use Xbox 360 for Media Center Extenders, that routed the HDMI Out of the 360 to the HDMI In of the XBone.
-Xbox 360 Directly into Xbox One.
-Cable box into Xbox One.

Last time I checked, there is a small delay, not enough to imact TV Viewing, but enough to cause issues in games.

another Q. I noticed that when you move to ONE, your gamerscore and all that go with you, but can I still use my profile on 360 while on ONE?

I still want to keep and play classics on my 360 like GRAW2, R6V2, etc etc

The reason I'm asking all these, don't really need a next gen console, my 360 is still great, and I got a high end PC, but I have a offer because of some online shopping club mjy wife is in and she gathered a bunch of points, with those points get a Xbox One (without the kinetec) for 200 bucks... sounds like a good deal.

but I'm still un-decided on Next Gen One vs PS4... all the games I really want besides sport games come out on PC. wink

Not online at the same time, I would imagine. Surely you can just import the profile on multiple machines, just like the 360. That would be pretty lame.
