Thanks again Rick for this wonderful challenge! It was great fun, next time I am going to finish one within the scheduled time!!! These challenges are not only fun but really useful in term of learning and development of personal skills because one has to stick to fly planes one hasn't had too much experience with so far. It does definitely enhance the skills, because one has to deal with deficiences of a particular aircraft and appreciate its superiour sides...
Never flew the Spad too much before but I do really like it now, and will continue with this campaign (yet finished mission 10, 8 confirmed kills), apart from being beyond the official end date...

It's aswell good to read and to share the encounters and experiences in a comparable environment with all of you guys, and to see how different the approaches to deal with a problem can be! It enhances the learning process indeed, thanks very much to all of you!

Congrats to all participants of this challenge, long live the survivors, hurray to MudWasp, well done!

Rick, have a great vacation, thanks again, will see you in August!

.

C'est magnifique! Well done. Mudwasp, you now have a custom paint for your favorite WOFF kite owed you so let me know your wishes and I can work on it this coming weekend.

Kudos to all those brave aviateurs who competed in this challenge, it was a tough one IMHO. And thanks to Rick for hosting this event, now go and enjoy your vacation Sir.

Those prints all look very nice.

Rick, hope you are enjoying your vacation!

The beautiful print arrived this morning. Thank You very much!

I have an old worm wood frame I made about 3 decades ago with my late carpenter uncle that I intend to use for the "Etrich Taube" by Russell Smith. need to purchase a back mat or whatever it is called. Think I'll go with sky blue.

The color of the pic is a bit off, but that is the best I could do.

Looks great, MudWasp, glad it got there in good shape! I am enjoying things up here with my 1200 baud hand-cranked modem. I get to enter my text on alpha-numeric punch cards and then we staple it to the back of a moose who wanders a couple of hundred miles south where some kind people hook it all up to technology! I have enjoyed reading all the posts and look forward to getting back in the fight next week!

That sounds even slower than the old dial-up service I was finally able to say goodby to last month! Hope you gave that moose a nice treat. Didn't find the exact color mat I wanted at the discount craft store, but this works good enough.

The Taube really speaks to me about what mans's early flight was about. Looks so much like a bird too.
Thank You !

rofl As a man who has spent considerable time on IBM and Univac mainframe systems I can relate to that very nicely!

I really like the job you did with the Pic MudWasp. Very nice indeed. Now you have to put it in a conspicuous place near your Puter!!

Right now it is in view of my computer hutch at my 3 o'clock. There is a window next to it which has a suction cup humming bird feeder attached to it. So now I can be inspired by the beauty of natures hummingbird and the man made Taube aka dove.

Great print Mudwasp. It goes with the decor, which happens to be my style . Very nice.
