Yep, been playing it a lot these past few days, super fun.

Just wish they would allow us to remove the HUD and do a free cam, like their dev builds.

I've been interested in it too. I never played the demo though. What makes it an alluring title?

Coot Not sure what makes it alluring, Its a fun little off road sim. Good graphics, fun driving, terrain transformation, A area to explore and different vehicles to drive. Also the mods should be good too. Best thing I could say is download the tech demo and see for yourself.

Obviously you want to have an interest in off-roading of course.

The game just manages to capture the off-road feel like no other game. You have the deformable terrain, mud that shifts and bogs down your vehicle. You have options to lock the differential / enable AWD, you need to plan ahead so big rocks don't get under the truck, slopes that will roll your vehicle.

You have winching, you can even hook vehicles up to each other and drag them out. You have damage to worry about, fuel consumption, you can hook up a ton of stuff to your truck; massive trailers, cranes that actually work in detail, big fuel trailers and more.

They even allow for easy importation of mods. People made some cool mods for the dev builds, including big 18 wheelers with tons of modifications, military jeeps, tractors, diggers, off-road racers, regular road cars ... anything.

Plus it looks good.

Wow that does look really cool. I like the mud and water physics. Nice overall visuals too.

I hope someone makes a sprintcar dirt track racing mod. Give me a racecar and an oval with those mud physics and it would be awesome! Or a swamp buggy racing game

Nice! Offroad Drive isn't bad to. Motorm4x has some good rockcrawling in it.
Cabelas Offroad back in the day was cool, with rescue missions etc.
I'll end up with this one when it goes on a steam sale.
I assume it works wityh a G27?

Currently it does not support wheels. However in the FAQ section the devs have stated that the first major update will contain usb wheel support. Also no cockpit view however the devs have stated that somewhere down the road they will include it.

With that said it is still a blast with a 360 controller!

Wait, are you still driving around in the old beta build? They did send out steam keys for a close-to-complete version of the game.

Tech demo. Im not a backer. I didnt find out about this sim till it was to late to back it.

I thought wheel support was in now? Also, I have the demo and love it. Buying this!

Soon as they get wheel support in I'll pick it up. It feels wrong to drive on a gamepad!

Holy lordy some of those roads are bad. Would be great to see this technology in games like Arma
