Continuing my play through of Sniper Elite V2. I'm really looking forward to V3 and its North African setting. I hope they add and improve on this already fine game. I'd personally would like to see some more close quarter stealth options, a more intuitive cover system and a new sound effect for foot steps.

Infiltrating a German office building in Berlin looking for documents on the location of a V2 rocket site.

I've started this mission using the M1 Garand with scope which I've never used before. I like the balance of power with 8 round clip but it has quite a kick. I wounded this German soldier and as he leaned forward heading for cover, my next shot caught a grenade he was wearing.

That's weird they didn't make it first person throughout.

Awesome screens, I loved the first game but I haven't played this one yet. Can you turn off the x-ray effect?

Yes.(I think) There is an option to turn up or down the frequency of the cam so I think you can turn it off. Sniper Elite V3 will have a vehicle kill cam now so you can potentially see a round enter a truck's hoot and go through the engine block.

Its a great game, I just hope they continue to improve upon it and add some new features and/or fix some things. Another thing I wish they would add is a more detailed pre-mission equipment load out screen and a free cam to be able to visually inspect your character's 3D model. I'd also love to see little details like checking your ammo count added similar to the kind of detailed weapon modeling of the Red Orchestra series.

Cool thanks, yeah some of those extra features would be nice, I always thought it was a bit weird how they combined some fairly realistic elements with some very 'arcade' style gameplay at times.

Maybe if I wait long enough I can pick up V3 for free as well...

Just a few quick shots from the first mission, hope you don't mind.

I missed the free offer! Looks like a good one.

Its good. I recently just passed a later mission and it got tough as nuts. Had to make an escape by roof top and there were snipers at every turn on an opposing square of rooftops with laser aim. Had to shoot around corners and get creative and pull up some of that gaming experience to get passed it.

That's why I like manual saves for when a game decides to get impossible out of the blue. biggrin

It's actually a pretty good mix of stealth an sniping gameplay. The x-ray killcam is a tad to grafical for my tastes but I have to admit it feels pretty rewarding seeing the results of a 200m+ headshot to that pesky enemy sniper.

The SE games are probably the closest we'll come to anymore H&D games.

Yeah, playing through this game certainly reminded me of H&D! Loved the 1st game, despite it's sucky controls.

H&D an all time classic. Probably just as well that we don't get a HD3, it'd probably be free-to-play MMO rolleyes

Hidden and Dangerous 1&2, absolute classics. I hope the 2kCzeck team will someday pull together and make a H&D3.

I think I just played that one. Was good fun.

This was just too cool not to share. Elitely Sniping a V2 in the fuel line. Not quite sure how that should work but it was pretty awesome biggrin

Dang Security Device you play fast! I'm just now on that V2 mission. I wouldn't mind trying some coop in V3 but not until I start the single player. I'm not interested in the mp as it looks to cheapen the game and its gameplay. I'm all for the single player story and maybe some coop fun.
