Egosoft's name is Mud IMO. They pulled a Gearbox (Aliens Colonel Marines) and gave the middle finger to their fans. F 'em.

Hey guys, can you control multiple ships on Rebirth? I've got X3, but (for lots of reasons) I didn't start to play it... Is modded X3 better now than modded Rebirth?

I wish to play a "management" game with some space combat elements, not the other way around. I'm already a EVE player, and in EVE you control just one ship, so playing industrial/economical management sucks (besides the gankers laser). I want to build an empire by trade/etc with some pew pew in between.

Yeah for the 4x gameplay you definitely want X3:TC instead of X:Rebirth.
