You mean Gamersgate? They have taken direct payment option off their site, all links lead to Gamersgate pages.

I dont like Strategy First, but Graviteam didnt even try to get the game on Steam(well not in an obvious way). Even UIG succeeded in Greenlighting Steel Armour.

GTOS has 95€ worth of DLC. If you would like to support the devs gift the discounted base game to everyone you know, and if they find the game fun, they will probably buy some DLC for it. Well if they can, because they are still not on Steam.
also: Biggest benefit Steam could bring would be the automatic patching, works miracles in all Steamworks games. GTOS way of patching is fiddly. Sadly even on Steam this has not been resolved.

GTOS is so lost and buried on sale on steam right now. I do not think many will even notice it. =(

Is there any way to apply the dlc's to the steam version? I've bought the steam version - simply an affordability thing with too little money and too many titles that are out soon which I want - but would like to be able to get the dlc's at some point in the near future if possible.

The DLCs should be Ok as the patching process is supposed to be identical, see:-

It is the patching engine which imports & uninstalls patch data & DLCs.
I'd guess if you can patch the base game with the core update & the Jan 2014 patch using the patch system, you can use the DLC.
Worst case if no-one has experience of both versions - try a small DLC bought on a GG sale !

Well 1st dlc made it to steam. Volokenovka. Er however you spell it. But does not seem to be linked to the steam GTOS page.

Any dlc or mod can be installed to steam version. The other way... I have no idea.
