I was coming to post that, a step in the right direction but think I'll wait till after E3 and make a final decision then, 1) get a Xbox One, 2) get a PS4, or 3) stay with my 360 which is just fine right now.
BTW Griz...I miss you. Playing BF4 on PC sucks because it won't let high pings, across the sea, connect with each other... damn it all.
ditto, I had the info a few weeks ago, but was under NDA... :p
They are also moving some apps from requiring Gold Account.
I completely forgot about Games for Gold, I wonder how many free games I missed out the last 5 months.. lol. (TBH I think I check, and I usually already have whatever game it is, so i don't bother).
My Account is one of the longest running accounts now, because most of the First Wave XBL Beta testers have abandoned ship, and some of the staff members cancelled their gold accounts when they Left the Xbox Division of MS.
There's a few things that haven't been announced yet .

Yeah, they have all these ping-blocking on PC, don't they? BF4 is fun, but I'd imagine it be more fun with friends and coms, plus it's waaay to fast paced for me coming from controller to keyboard/mouse. It's nuts, and my PC stats are horrible compared to my BF3 Xbox 360 stats.
I agree, it's a step in the right way. The Xbox One won't be relased in Sweden until September. I might get a Xbox if they lower the price even further. Or a PS4. But at this moment, I'm just don't feel the need for a new console.
And they're removing the paywall for Netflix and such if one is into streaming a lot.

What's next, they will admit that no one is buying the stupid new XBOne specific wheel controllers, and "discover" that they could support the old expensive Fanatec XB360 wheels after all...
Specifically the Profile permissions changes for Xbox One.. I dont have to pay for a 2nd account for my brother, and he doesnt have to use mine to play online anymore.

Apparently the compelling reason you still should need Kinect is so that you can say "XBOX Record That" to capture gameplay video...
Meanwhile the PS4 controller has this built-in handy button called "Share", which does this without needing the $100 biometric and voice control accessory, hopefully XBOne owners without Kinect will someday get the option of using a button for that too.

Unless there is a particular game you want right now on XBOne or PS4 I recommend waiting...
I was originally planning on buying both on release and held off due to lack of games and MS stupid strategies on Kinnect and Wheels support...
Bought my PS4 a couple of months ago and although I really like it for FIFA 14 and Second Son, there is a big lack of games otherwise, and I still spend most of my gaming time on PC, PS3, Vita right now.
So unless you have a specific game you want to play on XBOne/PS4, I recommend waiting for games to show up and for the price drops to come, this Kinectless price drop is a good example of that patience paying off.
This product, this price and a different PR from the start and I would own one. Now they can eff off, 100% done with entertainment products from Microsoft.

yeah, this is more like it. depending on the news that comes from E3, I'm now more likely to get an Xbox One around next fall. But, there are gonna have to be some must-have games.
As it stands now, I have barely touched my 360 in the last several months.
I've been playing BF4 on my PC but, yeah, getting booted for high ping is annoying as hell.

Good way for folks to get some money back if they got the $499 one, wonder if the market for used Kinect II will be any better than the one for Kinect.

Games are going to be what seperates the two systems. Xbox could have had an early advantage if they didnt make such stupid decisions in the beginning. I bought a PS4 and am enjoying it.
