Here's a few shots I took from some dusk flying...

FSX - DX9/ENB
Orbx England
Alabeo PiperSport
ASN Weather
REX4 clouds and water
Sky colours and ENB from Gabriel Rodrigues
Sun mod from SirFlight

Pretty spectacular combination!

I always loved the visuals I got from ENB. Too bad that no matter what settings I used or what ENB config, it always crashed.

Yeah ENB can be hit and miss, I never had much problem with it crashing, but I used to get the black screen bug a lot.

For whatever reason, it seems to be fairly stable on my current setup.

The other problem ENB has is the contrast causes the intrument panel to become too dark to read when it's in shadow in bright daylight (maybe too realistic!). There are plenty of great ENB configs out there but none really seemed to totally solve the problem.

For what it's worth, FSX running DX9 with ENB looks much better to me than FSX running DX10. Performance between DX9 and DX10 has been the same for me across two totally different systems (three if you count a graphics card upgrade in one of them).
