I haven't had the chance to fly it yet. 65 hour work weeks with no days off for the last 3 weeks straight, but looking forward to seeing the improved models.

22 April 2014
Ver 1.24 4207.03

1) Blipping engine sometimes caused AI to choose new leader and reform - fixed.
2) New feature: BE2c and BE2 early, improved models. Revised wiring and tweaks, and
skins updated to match model changes. (Training versions not changed at this time).
3) Eindecker as Escortee / Escorter Altitude revised (Eindeckers were losing altitude when
trying to escort - fixed).
4) BE2 engine sound fix for certain RPMs.

V1.23 1.24 4207 not released
Internal only, incorporated into 1.24.

Kudos to OBD for not being a "fire and forget" software company.

Perfect! Another good reason to start another early career! Thanks
Fix No.1 explains a lot of puzzling moments that I encountered as a blipping leader

I found this feature the most interesting. Did they add those two models to give the Eindeckers something slow enough to actually catch? I sure hope so!

Slick the craft are already in there? We just made some improvements to the models not FMs?

Much appreciate the improved BE2c's - they now look to have the full complement of landing and flying wires between the wings, they have lost the inappropriate BE2e/RE8-style web of wires up to the upper wing tips, the inverted V posts have gone from the upper wing tops and the interplane struts have been moved out to lose the excessive wing overhang.

Good job! I have just updated Part 2 of the CombatAce WOFF review (and the mission report featuring the type) to give due recognition of the improved models.

Oh, I know that the BE2C is already in the game. I just wasn't clear if these were new, earlier versions of the BE2C, or just remodels of the current one.

Thanks for clearing that up, Pol. smile2

Interesting. I fly the BE2c in a campaign, so went to look at my reference books for pictures of BE2's. One diagram incorrectly showed those v-struts above the wings but all the photos I can find - also on Wiki etc do not show them. So WOFF is right! It's a small point but good to get it right. There is a BE in the Imperial War Museum and one in the Canada Air and Space museum and one in NZ at Masterton. Unfortunately none in SA as the gifts after the war did not include them as they were completely obsolete by then. We do have an SE5a to make up for it.

For all those Die hard lovers of WOFF I would like to add a reminder that if you feel it is applicable there is a "Donate" button on the WOFF official site which would allow you to offer some financial appreciation for the dev support. WW1 flight sims are few and between and it is a small nitch of public that appreciate it. It would be a shame to see this sim and the excellent support go under due to lack of funds.

Not trying to be a preacher here, just expressing and reminding of an option open to us all if applicable.

Best Regards to all

A couple of days away from the forum and I miss another patch!
Very timely, as I just downloaded 'Fokker Scourge'. Only I really must stop tweaking for a while and actually get around to flying proper missions!
