Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.

BAH ! Heathens ! We get a day off work here for St. George's Day......(and being equal opportunity people we also take a day off for St. Patrick's day) The Scots & Welsh were smart enough not to settle here so we don't do St.Andrew or St. David biggrin

For England and St. George !!!!

Were you an extra in "Kingdom of Heaven"?

Oh, 'Kingdom of Heaven'....I LIKED that movie.
I'm sure it was Bollywood....but it was 'entertaining'.

I think they actually spent some money making that.

Hope you have a happy 'St Georges Day' Mace....and no, it's not 'illegal' here.
He's been forgotten long ago, in the 'New World'. rolleyes

Happy 'Chainmail' day! Now 'THAT', I could run with, as long as they didn't take my AR-15 away.... wink

I read this after a Brit I work with mentioned she was wearing a rugby jersey to work today in recognition of Great Britain and because it's frowned upon celebrating there because it might offend minorities.. I wouldn't expect a host country to change for me, so this whole situation struck me as a little odd the way she described it. Odd that you have similar sentiments as her Mace.

Go Saint George !

I believe it is usual to get rather drunk on beer, and run around with a flag, being thankful you are as English as St George was.

St. Georg(e) is also celebrated in many other countries, especially in Spain, and at a later date due to different calenders used, in Russia. Especially in Russia.

Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed Witcher... I'll never know. Something wrong with my face?

Maybe, but St George is our national saint (forming a large part of our Union Flag*, and the whole of the Flag of England (*Union Jack, only when flown on a ship))...

As a random saint's day ~ sure, why not.... but I miss the link of a Turkish Knight, an imaginary Great Wyrm and England.

Many Patronages of Saint George exist around the world, including: Georgia, England, Egypt, Bulgaria, Aragon, Catalonia, Romania, Ethiopia, Greece, India, Iraq, Lebanon, Lithuania, Palestine, Portugal, Serbia, Macedonia, Ukraine, Russia and Syria, as well as the cities of Genoa, Amersfoort, Beirut, Botoşani, Drobeta Turnu-Severin, Timişoara, Fakiha, Bteghrine, Cceres, Ferrara, Freiburg im Breisgau, Kragujevac, Kumanovo, Ljubljana, Prouges, Pomorie, Preston, Qormi, Rio de Janeiro, Lydda, Lviv, Barcelona, Moscow and Victoria, as well as of the Scout Movement

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.
