AWESOME! Thanks for that. My son is an "electronics officer" (not a real title) in a Hawkeye and no doubt knows some of these guys as he instructed at some thing called Top Gun for a few years recently.  Tax dollars well spent IMO.

Yeah, really does get the blood pumpin'. Sometimes I think I was in the wrong line of work. I was Navy Airdale for 4 years, flew crewman on a P2V, but that sure isn't a F-18. But watching that, I'm wondering how much damage those guys are getting, with all those 'G's? It's got to take it's toll. Wonder how they'd feel at 50 years old, after about 5-10 years of flying like that? Sure am glad they're on our side though..... Yep, that video sure does get my blood pumpin'.......

Isn't that a designate cursor? In Jane's F/A-18 you could designate via the HUD and the FLIR would slew directly to that spot. I imagine it's something like that in the real thing.
Or am I wrong?
