Hello,

There is so much to choose from lately. Sometimes I have trouble deciding which sim I want to fly.

The list below is what I am 'trying' to play regularly, and wish there was more time in the day.

DCS: A-10C
DCS: Blackshark 2
DCS: Huey
DCS: Mi-8
DCS: F-15C (with AFM)
Soon: DCS Su-27 AFM
Next Year: DCS: F-18C

CoD w/ Team Fusion Mod
Rise of Flight
Falcon 4 BMS 4.32

Coming soon (and this gives me wet dreams) - Combat-Helo w/ an AH-64D!!!!

I think we are entering a new golden age for flight sims. Keep spending money people!

Combat Helo is one I'm looking forward to.

Also the DCS Mig 21 looks like it's going to be great

I don't even have time for DCS A-10c, DCS BS, FC3 and BMS. It is a great time for flight sims!

Indeed lovely list, you missed IL2:BoS.
On purpose or not? It should be right there with the big boys I believe.

Cheers,

And if you're going to mention Falcon then don't forget EECH smile

Don't forget WOFF - tremendous immersion.

My biggest problem isn't the lack of quality sims but the lack of spare time to play them all.

Right now I'm more than happy with Falcon BMS, FSX, the DCS series, the IL2: BoS Alpha and WoFF.

Champagne problems biggrin

It's a matter of focusing where it's a more complex sim. 3 months at a time, and sometimes I'll play the one that seems most appropriate to what else I'm playin at the time.

Is the DCS Hornet coming in 2015?

If we're counting BMS and EECH, why not add Jane's F/A-18?

I am not sure about "golden age" because there are other things I'd like to see before I am truly happy and I also missed the last golden age, but the combat flight sim genre isn't anywhere near dying!

All I have installed is DCS World, IL-2 1946 and Rise of Flight and that keeps me plenty busy.

Slug - I don't plan on buying IL2 BoS , I just got CoD, and that will keep me good for a while. I will probably wait until it's cheap.

It does look good though.

Is that a DCS F-15 module or Flaming Cliffs?

I think the DCS Hornet is coming in 2015. It's my guess. I'm hoping by the time the Hornet does come out, we will have new map to play around in.

I mentioned Falcon, because the BMS 4.32 brought that sim more up to date. It came out recently, I believe last year. It's still fresh and I still need some more flying time in it. :-)

It's called DCS: F-15C now. It has advanced flight model, and upgraded engines..etc. However, the cockpit is not clickable. Hoping a third party does that eventually.

Here is definition of terms.

I get the impression Tricubic Studios Will be a bit like Esim games. small in size big in quality,
The graphics do not look start of the Art. But who cares its a playable apache

True. The 3D models look great though. And the Apache cockpit looks very, very nice. It's been almost 20 years since I've been this excited for a sim. I really hope people buy it and support it. They have plans for a dynamic campaign, and that would bring flocks of people.

So is EECH. Head over to the EECH forum smile

There's also Jane's F18 as mentioned above. TSH is still working on it (although at a very slow pace).

Actually, out of curiosity, I installed EECH. I downloaded the 1.5 patch and all that stuff from the EECH SimHQ Wiki. However, when I tried to run it is, I got an error "The program can't start because OpenAL32.dll is missing..etc"

My OP was for sim I'm actively flying in, and some of them are soon to be flying in. There are several left off that list because I don't have any short term plans on flying them.
