SS2 is definitely still fun, especially when modded with the better textures/models available, replayed it last year when it released on GOG.

On steam it has both High Resolution pack AND co-op play. A must.

That's like asking whether The Godfather is worth watching. SS2 is a truly great game. Yes, the grafics are outdated by today's standard. But with a few mods (widescreen, higher res textures) it still looks good enough and the gameplay and atmosphere are still fantastic. I still have it installed in my HD.
