I don't know, I haven't really looked into it. Some reviews that say "good fit" may have been that the U70 fit great between the brace and the stand of the Cougar MFD.

Here is some pics from Gunner and his comments.

Added a few more pics with the Syncmaster U70's. The LCDs slide right behind the MFD bezel and are held in place by the back braces like they were made for each other. They fit so perfectly, the LCD is held right against the back of the bezel.

One catch: I didn't even realize it until I was doing the second one - you lose just over 1/2" vertically. frown Of course in an instrument panel it will be centered, but sliding it in on the base, it's all at the top.

Couple pics in better light to show what I mean.

Maybe this one will fit: Samsung SPF-87H

I don't think that will work... That model is a digital photo frame, not a display.

Needs to be a USB driven display I believe.

Actually it is:

Another possible option could be the Century Plus One 8000u:
http://www.century.co.jp/products/pc/monitor/lcd-8000u.html

I don't know how these match with the MFD, but the Century display is 4:3 and should cover the MFD hole completely. It's also listed on the DisplayLink site.

Too bad the MIMO product-line doesn't have an 8" and the 9" 'Eye' isn't available without webcam:

I think the Lilliput UM8 Screens fit perfectly with the MFD's. But they are rather expensive for such a small screen. Cheapest would be to use an old 19" screen or something for the MFD's if you have enough room.

TBH,

I've been playing with the Idea of buying 2 Small "Digital Photo Frames" (around $20-30 from walmart/radioshack/etc), which come in Common 4:3 (i found a few 1:1)

Jacking the Screens out of them :), and Soldering a VGA/DVI Cable to them (depending on LCD Controller),

Smaller Screens (ie Lillput's) are getting expensive,

MFCDs dont need to be super Hi-Res or Super fast etc, they need to simply display better than 512x512 with a smooth frame rate.

Remove the LCD from the Photo Display housing, Convert to Monitor (some have USB Connection to act as a Mini monitor from PC)

a 5-5/8 Diagonal 1:1 Screen will fit the 4x4 TM MFDs,

A Crap ton cheaper than messing around trying to find those LIL Put screens.

I'll prolly take a cardboard cutout to the store someday and look for a screen that fits.

PIXMANIA sell the Cougars in the UK for £52.50 with free p&p which could save a lot of import tax, VAT etc when purchasing from abroad.
