Very nicely written and some great inside shots as well. Looking forward to the video material, I hope you were allowed to film (I think I saw the GoPro hanging form the cockpit ceiling).

And jealous as Hell. smile

Thanks for the article! Good to see and read something I will probably never get to experience. So envious!

It's getting close. The CAF guys estimated there were only 20-30 left flying in the world, but parts are getting extremely difficult to come by. Things like tires will have to be custom made, which will be awfully expensive, and will probably end the B-25's flying days. Very glad I got the chance I did.

Great video and article. The sound from those engines is immense. Imagine what it must have been like flying a full mission in that environment. Hostile enough, without all the bad guys shooting at you.

Thanks for the write up.

I just want to say I went for a ride in this plane last week up here in Edmonton, Alberta Canada and it was a blast. I rode in the back of the plane with 3 others and got seat time as the tail gunner.

The 40+ min flight made me realize what those guys went through for our freedom and I am eternally grateful for their sacrifices.

I also want to give a shout out to all those that made the flight possible. From the ticket taker to the pilot to our chaperones in the plane, they were all truly outstanding individuals and my hat goes off to all of them.

It was truly something to behold and if anyone ever gets the chance to go for a ride, YOU must do it!

I now want to make the trip to ride in the B-17, and next the Lancaster in Ottawa.

I know the B25 is making their way East now, so anyone wanting to go for a ride should check their local airports for the show.

Again my hat goes off to all those involved for making this trip to Canada and Edmonton possible.
