Big surprise when I got an email from Amazon stating that, in MN at least, a class action suit has given me approx $82 in credit.

I feel kind of guilty of taking advantage of this, then again, Amazon probably has deeper pockets that I do, still...

Anyway, am currently binging on WW1 aviation, any recommendations besides Gold's books, Peter Hart's, Lem Shaws, and/or Derik Robinson's?

(Just bought WOFF)

Good news! You are entitled to a credit of $82.03 for some of your past Kindle book purchases. The credit results from legal settlements reached with publishers Hachette, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, and Penguin in antitrust lawsuits filed by State Attorneys General and Class Plaintiffs about the price of eBooks for Minnesota residents.

Don't feel bad about it, that's been in the works for a long time and it isn't Amazon at fault, but the publishers that got greedy. We didn't get much from those publishers, but we got back enough for a few books.

I got some from my Nook purchases too, I didn't know Amazon was involved in the suit, but if it was a result of the publishers actionns, then that makes sense.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.”

If you got it you should have gotten an email. I think it only applies to bestsellers over a certain time range though.

Not just bestsellers, but other books under those publishers too. The bestsellers are a higher amount though.
