So I loved the first Wargame, skipped the second when I found out that campaign missions were timed. Does anyone know if the third one has timed campaigns?
All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

It still does, though I would consider the campaign the weakest part of any of the Wargame series.

Oddly enough I bought it yesterday. I say oddly because I hated EE! I passed on the second one but this looked better with naval units too as well as the air assets from Airland Battle. This one has more interesting maps instead of the same green one everytime in EE (it looked like it anyway) but I'm way out of practice and I need to look into this new campaign map turn based system, which looks really good by the way. To top it all GMG recently changed everyones currency and I got USD so I get games cheap and with 20% off I only paid £19

Yeah, there is a Total War style main campaign map that is turn based that leads into the battles. EDIT: I downloaded the manual and rehosted https://www.mediafire.com/?p8yi89mdksw354d

Red Dragon has a lot of negative reviews on Steam. I'm tempted to go for Airland Battle instead. Erm, I wouldn't listen to ANYTHING said on steam. It's a cesspool of hate and trolling. I was under the impression it improves upon ALB.

I've played a tiny bit I like it better than I liked EE (even though I put 21 hours into that) and seems a lot slicker. I like the more modern setting and hardware too and the maps are FAR more interesting.

Thanks for hosting the manual. I really like ALB, but it's too addictive, and hurts my eyes from squinting. It's not stopping me. Just saying.

Well that games out then. I don't play multiplayer, and I move far too slowly to do a 20 minute battle.

The naval and littoral battles are quite satisfying, although it would be nice if it and the air missions were further refined.
