I saw this on Steam. It's a free download and free to play. Anybody try it? Is it worth looking at?

Magnum wasn't impressed.
I'm not understanding if this is GR Online renamed, or something new? GRO wasn't very impressive, and certainly not what I'd expect from a GR game.

It's Ghost Recon Online, renamed.

Haven't tried it myself. I trust Magnum's judgment on it. Not really interested much in the modern Ghost Recon games anyway.

I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

I mentioned that the hud was too cluttered, the UI was a bit overdone and just too much info... and the biggest complaint is the current 5 to 10 mins to find a server...maybe because new.

The actual shooter gameplay is pretty good, if you like that 3rd person/1st person combo thing.

IMO

Long server connect times are a game killer for me.

This game is actually fun I find it interesting that so many people will play a game for several hours and pass judgement. I challenge you to play it for a month like it should be played using squad tactics, oh and actually accomplish match wins based on the objectives. Then write your review. I will be happy to assist anyone get started. In game my name is NAVY.

It's actually quite a lot of fun. Connect times not a problem. Certainly not Arma2 or 3, but really enjoyable as a diversion.

ahhh... I played it for months... same opinion... but that's why we have free opinions and forums like this to share our opinions... and you don't have to agree. I just want something like the OGR or at least GRAW2 like... this online, free crap IMO has too many issues. Like I said, the actual gameplay is pretty good but not great.

You and me, both. Although, Insurgency does a great job filling the void.

It's okay for a diversion but has an arcade feel to it, I've played it with some friends but we have more fun playing America's Army honestly.
