#62 Remember to do a complete uninstall and download the new client for this update. You can save the "Input" folder and paste it back into your new install to preserve your control settings. Please, do not download the game and do not update before we give a green light.
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

Another total reinstall? Ugh...
I wonder how many more of these there will be.

Neither campaign nor multiplayer will be playable with custom made skins. Because, firstly, you may draw a transparent plane and gain unfair advantage, and secondly, your creative ideas may be offensive to other players in our worldwide community. Further details about user made skins will be revealed later, before the launch. Um.. How do the cited reasons have any effect on (single player) campaigns? 6) Will there be any game chat moderation and obscene language filter to stop the most aggressive brawlers? How do you plan to control it? Democratically (demon smiley). We’ll let the players decide who leaves a server. Press Esc, go to menu and find the trouble maker. If 50% of the server agrees with you initiative, that bully will be kicked and banned for a short time automatically. Also, the server holders will be able to ban anyone, it’s their lawful privilege. OK... 50% isn't a majority first off (a minor quibble, admittedly) and second, this seems very, very, very open to abuse. If there's a particularly good player on the server, and everyone is sick of being (fairly) shot down, is that person now liable to not only be booted from the game, but also banned? Will planes and modifications be flyable outside the campaign before they are unlocked? I can appreciate the unlock system in the campaign, but would like all planes to be available for custom/quick missions. We’ll think about it. The current decision covers the entire unlock system, which means that you unlock content in campaign only. It’s one of the game’s rules, it’s a given. What the hell? Why wouldn't you make them available? This is how all serious sims do it. This isn't a console grind-fest. If someone wants to fly a plane in a QM, let them. These kind of comments from the team really worry me. It's like they're fixing problems that don't exist.

That's always been an option on privately run servers. If you are too good, too bad, too disruptive, whatever, they can ban you. Any system is prone to abuse. Haven't you ever locked the computer account of someone who was annoying you by trying to log in as them 3x with random gibberish for a password? The Jedi Master

If there's a particularly good player on the server, and everyone is sick of being (fairly) shot down, is that person now liable to not only be booted from the game, but also banned? A vote kick system isn't exactly new, we had that for years and years in almost every game imaginable. Getting half the server to actually pass a vote like that just for the sake of abuse was ultra rare. In a flight simulator, I highly doubt that is going to be an issue.

Meh. I can't be assed to uninstall and re-install the whole thing yet again. Someone let me know when this thing is finished. I'll take a look at it then.

Sokol1 I don't think the gaming industry will ever get the 15 year old grinders to become the core customers for this type of flight Sim, as lucrative as that age group is. Rise of Flight has a 4 year running poll on their forum for user age and the average age is about 40 years old. 8 percent are 20 years old or less. Adding grinders isn't going to suddenly shift that large of gap but it may cause a big problem with the adults who shell out the $ for these types of games. I've not bought BoS yet until I see what this game becomes - a fast action grinder for kids or a serious flight Sim.

Such is the nature of these tests, we'll let you know . Exactly. You gotta expect things like this with a game that's not even 50% complete yet.

I know Bisher, it took 15 mins of my life that i wont get back... What you're forgetting is that a lot of folks have data caps with their ISP. Pretty sure that's what bish is referring to.
