A lot of you folks probably haven't seen this show, so giving you a heads up. It's a very smart, very well acted BBC America scifi/cloning show. Kind of like Joss Whedons Dollhouse show in some respects, though much better IMO. The lead actress is fantastic, season two begins tomorrow.

Is it a cloning story or a multiple dimensions story? It does look interesting, but I haven't ever gotten the gist of it. Just from the commercials I can tell they work that actress pretty hard!

I've seen the ads but they've been a major fail as they've never piqued my interest enough to bother watching. No idea what the show is about.

Jsut watch it, guys. Set in present day. Multiple clones (played by the same actress) begin realizing what they are but not why. It's good. Very little cheese or cliches.

I got pulled into this one by my sister in law last summer. Tatiana Maslany does an excellent job with her character(s), and while the story is a bit out there, it's still entertaining. I'd recommend it.
Off to greener pastures

And she has a nice ass, showing it in the first episode! Yup, she's beautiful and a very good actress also! Also Michael Mando (Vaas from Far Cry 3) is in the series as Vic, a drug dealer, and Matt Frewer (PSI Factor) also as a guest in the series. Love it!!

Jsut watch it, guys. Set in present day. Multiple clones (played by the same actress) begin realizing what they are but not why. It's good. Very little cheese or cliches. This... I had seen the ads for the series and it sounded intriguing and the lead actress was kinda cute so I figured what the hey... and since I was totally new to it and I have On Demand I started from S101 like I do on all new series when I can. This show is GREAT!! The premise is intriguing.. the lead actress is a fantastic actress and we will be seeing more of her for sure.. The CGI.. and there is CGI because this one actress is playing all the clones and there are scenes when more than two are all together.. but it is flawless. In seeing 11 episodes I have only seen one where the CGI was kind of apparent and that was in one 3 second scene where two of the clones are hugging each other.. I came here to specifically post on this series.. I watched the first season yesterday.. It is that good and this actress is so good that she portrays different people in each of the clones very convincingly and so far we have met 7 and out of those 7, 2 are dead and of those two one was a German who was assassinated by one of the other clones, a crazy Ukranian girl working for a religious fanatical group that thinks the clones are an abomination and they have convinced her that she is the "real" one.. but as I said she is insane ... and the other was an American cop who committed suicide in the opener by stepping in front of a train, then there is the lead in the series .. the British girl.. who witnessed the cop's suicide and took over her identity since she looked just like her.. and that started the series.. the suicide and the identity theft.. There were 3 others that we know about but they all died before the series started. Then there is the geeky genius lesbian.. then there is the soccer mom.. and the cold heartless bitc# who heads up some super secret mega organization that is dealing with the whole thing.. There are too may plot twists to go into here.. but suffice it to say .. that if you like an interesting story with interesting acting and a well executed plot line.. Orphan Black will not disappoint you. Sleep on this one to your own detriment if you like great TV.
Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

Using computer compositing to make one person into multiple isn't CGI. CGI would mean some of them aren't her, but are created like Jar Jar.

...and this actress is so good that she portrays different people in each of the clones very convincingly What impressed me is that she not only plays each clone differently, but you (the viewer) can tell which clone she "is" when that clone is pretending to be another clone. While her different clone portrayals are definitely helped by the appearance changes, her acting is what really pulls it off and allows the suspension of disbelief. Thanks to this forum, I'm hooked. Now to wait for season 2 to finish so I can watch it! (no fracking way I could watch just one episode of this program and then wait a week to see another... that would be called clonus interruptis(tm)!!)

So it's like watching Grace Park play a bunch of different Sharons, then.
