Greetings! I use to do 3D modeling for the WWI mod for the Targetware game engine. I have many planes that are not in WOFF currently that I would like to add to my game. What I need is a good tutorial on how to add planes to CFS3 and WOFF. Questions I have: 1. Does each plane model have to have all the guns, instruments, pilots, ect. in it or are they separate models called for by the config files for the plane? 2. All my planes are done with 2 textures each, one for the wings and one for the fuselage. I see that WOFF's are all on one texture. Is this a requirement of the game engine? 3. After I have the planes in game how do I add them to the campaign? 4. How do I add additional squads to fly for? I am sure I will have more questions but for now these will determine how feasible it will be to convert them into gmax from wings3D, and get them into game. Planes I have include the following: Fokker DII Vicker FB5 AGO CI Pfalz DXII HP O/400 MS AI Halberstadt CLII Gotha GIII - Here this may be on it way can't wait! AW FK8 Caudron G4 have a G6 about 90% done also One with no Pics AEG GIV LVG CV MS N N12

Great stuff, Leadtail, and welcome to WOFF! Did you build all flyable ones, with moving parts and cockpit interiours?

Well-ll... if you had been in my last mission, you wouldn't say it's a "game". But you'll soon see that yourself.

It would be phantastic, if some of these planes could be integrated into WOFF. But mind you, it needs more than just the models and skins - a flight-model and AI behaviour must be written to make them come "true".

The outside shell is the one of the smallest parts of the work, also converting that to WOFF requirements if it's in another format, linking and more. Virtual cockpit is large part of it, plus as you say Olham FM, DM, squads, how the AI handles it, manager changes and so on.. Thanks for adding your explanation Pol. It really gives us a better understanding of just how extensive the effort is, so none of us should be expecting anything any time soon. That said, it's nice to know that we have some talent out there (Leadtail) that are offering and willing to help if applicable. Best Regards;
