I start WOFF, and have only an outside view, with no control. I can shoot the guns, but that is the only control I have. sigh

I have gone into the workshop, and done what I thing the FAQ tells me to do, but that is the result. I used to be able to tie my shoelaces and drink out of a soda can without dribbling down my shirt, but those days seem to be gone. What in the Hell is wrong with me?

First thing to do is to find the WOFF Default Key Guide and see if you can control the game from your keyboard. If that doesn't work, reinstall it. If it does work, then you are having joystick issues.

Welcome to WOFF Liljugs your in for one hell of a ride..Yep everything Nowi has said and also try pressing F1 to cycle your views and CTRL+SHIFT A is autopilot ..what you have mentioned also happened to me once(it seemed as though Autopilot was enabled?)..take a while to set up your joystick (bind keys ect ) and take a couple of QC flights make sure pilot never dies is checked on QC screen and play around a bit...One last tip i have my zoom in and out set on my stick..click on advanced and change repeat to 2..Its smoother zooming....Ps DONT plug your joystick in after WOFF has started on my system and im assuming others.it wont pick it up

As Adger said, the F1 key should cycle you through the views.

Thanks, will try the F1 thing. Sorry for the hysteric tone to my post, but it seems the older I get, the more complicated (to me, anyway) everything becomes. frown

Well, I know the feeling, when I sometimes don't find the simplest things
which I know they are there somewhere.
When I re-find them, I'm usually glad when nobody noticed my part-time confusion.

They say when you're getting older, you may forget more, but will therefor have more wisdom to understand everything.
I must then be stuck somewhere in the middle between confusion and wisdom. biggrin

I don't. I take it as it comes.
Nobody wants to get old - but no-one wants to die early either. biggrin

I think flying a combat sim like WOFF can train our reflexes and awareness. duel

Would be a good idea to download and print the pdf documents available on the OFF webside ( Key guide, player commands ) This way you can pause the game and look for key commands until you're familiar with them.
The good thing about WW1 planes is the reduced number of commands to memorize when you come from Falcon 4.0 ! smile2

Hope you have a joystick..if not buy one, you wont get anywhere near the enjoyment or control out of the game it requires.

Make sure your turning on the engine aswell)

Doing better-finally figured out the "unbind" feature. This is always the part of a new sim that I hate, configuring the controllers! 90% of the time it just seems to baffle me.

Very realistic sim, though, as others have said.

What I mean by that, in my case, is that I have already destroyed 2 Quirks in training, LOL! Not unheard of in real life, from what I have read.
