JB; I don't believe WOFF will ever be available on STEAM unless the underlying engine is replaced. If is very dependant on CFS3 at this time. Take a look at the following link and I think you will have a better understanding of WOFF features: WOFF Official Web Site You will also find many excellent videos demonstrating the sim. Hope this helps you. I doubt you would be disappointed if you purchase it. It is the greatest in my opinion.

My youtube site has quite a few WOFF videos up there for you to get a feel for it. For some of the real "hairy" dogfights, check out the Bloody April series of videos. Those are all actual campaign missions. www.youtube.com/hellshade68

It must be a copyright question; as long as Microsoft doesn't hand the CFS3 engine to OBD Software, they can not add it to DVDs or downloads. Simple as that. Everyone who finds the way too hard, to get a cheap copy of CFS3 for his WOFF, may find the combat flying in WOFF too hard anyway. Mmuahahahahaaa!!!

Huge improvement. The AI alone is worth the price of admission. Total re-write of the AI from the ground up. I've had it since a few weeks before official launch and I still can't predict how the AI will respond in a dogfight. In OFF, you start to know exactly how each type of plane will behave. Not so in WOFF. It's just fantastic and so the encounters never get old or stale.
Then there's the improved graphics, terrain, scenery, plane set, Interface and UI improvements like DOT labels for planes in the distance. Bloody goggles option when your pilot gets hit, improved flight models. Much better damage model. Not to mention tremendous support. 21 patches in just a few months and many of them have new features based on customer feedback. AND DON'T FORGET THAT THE SUPPORT IS BAR NONE, THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!

I would guess you are using TIR except I notice you must have something mapped to the rear view? (I haven't installed yet, just finished with the download.)

TrackIR sir. I couldn't fly without it. Yeah, I figured that, that's most people's view (haha). TIR is a love/don't love it so much thing for me. I mostly fly FSX, and rarely use it in that sim, it just doesn't seem that advantageous to me. I can see (haha, again) how it would be useful in a combat sim such as WOFF. Thanks for quick reply!

Ditto here! +2 Bought Saitek ProFlight Combat pedals recently, and they make a big difference in WW1 a/c with their relatively high rudder authority. R

Same here ... I fly often as well FSX/Air Hauler and although I can understand TrackIR is less important, it makes things more comfortable and real and it would feel strange now to fly without after a few years.
