So my last AAR before we start with
Rolling Thunder: Operation Rising Bear.
This time a company attack and a hasty defense.
Our OC was
Falli and I was the ALPHA platoon leader.
My 2IC was, na guess, yes it was my good old buddy Gladiator.
The brave soul from the

Attack to WINZERBERG V3:
1.situation
a)enemy:
Red is attacking the area north of Bad Pyrmont since 4 days. Blue hold his position with low casualties. But red forces are pushing north. Yesterday red took BAD PYRMONT with an reinforced MechInfBtn (BMP-3 and T-90).
We think red will attack to the WEST from BAD PYRMONT to HAGEN to BARNTRUP in our right flank to support their main attack NORTH of BAD PYRMONT.
b)own:
PzBrig91 in perfect defensive position with PzGrenBtl912 and PzBtl911 in the NORTH of BAD PYRMONT since 4 days. The enemy pressure is still strong, so the units will get an ammo and fuel problem soon.
If the situation will be hold on, we have to withdraw to the WEST and to give up our position. Cdr PzBrig91 don`t want to withdraw. NschBtl9 (Support/supply Btn9) is on the way to our Area.
Cdr PzBtl911 got the order to move with 4./- and 5./- and parts of JgKp910 (InfCoy 910) to the SOUTH in the area of BARNTRUP. To start an attack to HAGEN, to take HAGEN and the ridge 1000 eastwards HAGEN (WINZERBERG). From there to stop the enemy attack to BARNTRUP.
Our units in the NORTH need time to resupply.
We don`t have the permission to order arty strikes in villages.
Intension of our Btn Cdr:
To attack with 4./911 in front to take the ridges westwards HAGEN. To over watch with 4./911 and to attack with 5./911 and JgKp910 to HAGEN. After taking HAGEN to attack WINZERBERG with 4./911 and to prepare a Hasty Defense.

From there over watch to WINZERBERG.
On my order attack to bp A in Obj.
In bp A Obj prepare for Hasty Defense.
BRAVO:
Follow ALPHA 500 and move to bp B PL Troll.
From there adapt to support attack to HAGEN.
Over watch the area right company border between Pl Troll and Depp.
On my order attack over PLAINE south of bp A PL Depp to bp B in Obj.
From there over watch to Bad Pyrmont and prepare a Hasty Defense.

Our first contact was a BMP-3 plt south of WINZERBERG.

Another BMP-3 south of bpA PL Depp.
"KANTATE this is BRAVO, contact 2 BRDM-2s south of ESCHENBRUCH, 2 BRDM-2s eastwards ESCHENBRUCH along L940 moving westwards, I´m engaging, Over!
"KANTATE this is ALPHA, destroyed reported BMP-3, I need Arty support HE Grid 12905790 200x100, Infantry is moving around, OVER!"
We changed our bp every 2mins, to be no target for the enemy arty.
BRDM-2 near ESCHENBRUCH
"KANTATE this is ALPHA contact enemy Tank bpA Obj, and incomming HELI in Obj flying westwards, I´m engaging, OVER!"
Looks like they use the CH-47 Chinook.
"KANTATE this is ALPHA, enemy Choppers withdraw to the east, enemy tank bpA Obj still in position.
We tried to engage the enemy Tank in Obj, but he was in a good position and fired some missiles to us.
So we had to fight very flexible, but we worked together very well.

My platoon is in action, 1 section is moving, 1 section in position.

Can you see the enemy tank, and there is something incomming, backwards quick, quick.
"ALPHA this is 2, destroyed enemy tank, spotted another one left behind!"

Pardauz Kardengel, damn I got a hit from a tank. My suspension is damaged.
If you can read german, you see the order of our btn cdr to 5./911 and JgKp910 to attack HAGEN.

HAGEN is secured, but our Grunts need help, they are under fire from enemy BMPs in Obj.
Falli gave me the order to attack bpA Pl Depp after an Arty HE strike.
Gladiator to my right loaded Sabot and I loaded HEAT rounds.
SITREP from HAGEN, they spotted an enemy T-90 in bpA Obj.
My AI gunner will engage the Inf in ESCHENBRUCH and we have a T-90 in front.
T-90 in position against ALPHA 2.

I lost one callsign, enemy RPG gunner.
"ALPHA 2 this is ALPHA, we lost ALPHA 1, enemy Inf between our position, Engage, Over!"

Gladiator got a hit and lost one track. I called for an ARV and now the ARV bring him back to bpA PL Troll.

Gladiator and I attack our bp in Obj. We have an enemy infanty squad in our right flank and 1 BMP.
Sunset in HAGEN, how romantic, isn`t, "Gunner 3O`clock 300 Bimp in position, fire..."
A second later Gladiator got a missile hit and his driver was injured.
I got another one in our right flank.
BRAVO in Obj was in fire fight against enemy T-90s and BMP-3 around BAD PYRMONT
Falli gave me the order to fall back to bpA PL Depp and to overwatch Obj from there and the recovery of Gladiators tank. Our ARV was now in DURCHLASS and started to rescue Gladiators tank.

We are moving back, Gladiator is now my Gunner.

After 73 minutes was the mission over. We got a defeat.:(
summary
You can see, I needed 11,5 seconds to hit a spotted target. I made 5 kills. My platoon made 11 kills.
I lost one tank. Our small BG destroyed 40 targets. But our BG lost also 9 callsigns.
No blue on blue.
