Kermit Weeks from "Fantasy of Flight" (Florida) has made many videos of flying historical aircraft, even replicas of WW1 planes, like the Albatros D.Va and the Sopwith Snipe. He often uses a helmet camera - his "Kermie Cam". Here are the 3 Snipe videos.

Yes, I still think that many or most of us expect these aircraft to work and react like modern light speed racing craft. If we could sit in the real cockpit, we would probably be in for a bad surprise. I guess the whole handling and the overall situation was much tougher than we'd like.

I agree Olham, and if not tougher, then certainly busier and more intricate than just throttling up and swinging the stick around I really enjoyed the videos- thanks for posting the links!
