After lots of thought I finally got DS2 yesterday (traded in old games and only had to pay £1 smile ) as I couldn't get past the Taurus Demon in DS1 and had told myself I wasn't getting it.

It looks very nice (wish they would have made for PS4) on PS3 and have added some nice lighting effects. I died many, many times last night even before choosing my character I fell off a cliff lol. The difficulty is still high and now when you die your HP goes down each time so it seems harder to me but I will persevere!

Hopefully I can summon people to help when I'm stuck smile

I just picked up the original (Taurus demon was easy, try the damned Capra demon biggrin ). I'm looking forward to playing the sequel when I'm done.

I think the difficulty is really hyped up and blown out of proportion. It's difficult, and you die often, but that's an integrated part of the game (you're undead!). It's deeper than it seems and it's very old school. I've been loving it.

I tried the first for a little while and it was just too dang creepy leaving me with feelings of dread. Dragon's Dogma has about the right amount of creepy and difficulty balance for me.

I think Master used a Jedi mind trick on you as he said that, not me smile

I've never had that with the pawns in my DD:DA, they say a couple of things but never over and over.

Is there really that much not weak to fire? It seems like it'd be easier to yell what's resistant to it, since flamethrowers don't really discriminate.
