Gordo and I played some 2 player co-op this AM, a sniper mission where we were tasked to take out 3 village leaders... the actual sniper mission part was good, escaping afterwards seemed to be a problem.
The first village leader was a no brainer, standing there with his arms wide open waiting. But then the next village leader had a bodyguard standing next to him, lucky for us at our angle I was able to take out both with one round. We were evacuating the hot zone, when we thought we were safe, while looking through binos at another check point, they walked right up on us, I got one with my sniper rifle at 1 foot distance, was shocked for a second thought it was Gordo till I remembered we were in guilly suits. We quickly died after that.
Not to mission makers, sniper missions are great, the 2 player co-op, the stealth, moving to object then taking the shot, don't make it easy but we should, especially if only one shot fired, be able to get out.
A friend and I had a great 2 player sniper mission for Arma 2. After an hour of sneaking through the night, setting up on a mountain, and taking a single shot on the target (the fun part) you had to escape (the poorly designed part). Sniper missions are awesome but it always seems like the mission maker just assumes you did the job really loudly or obviously and brings down the scripted hammer.
