Hey Guys,

I recently picked up TOH in a bargain bin, DVD version. I installed and ran it, and had no probs. Then I patched up to 1.06 including ARMA 2 expansion. All installed ok but when I try to run it, there is a problem firing up.

I get:
Cannot open file 'C:\GOG Games\ARMA II-Combined Operations\\dta\bin.pbo'

I assume this is because there is a permissions problem opening up with a game that was issued by GOG and not the vendor. I think some steam users have experienced similar, but there seems to be limits on a fix. Am I SOL with this or is there a workaround known?

The path is goofed:

"C:\GOG Games\ARMA II-Combined Operations\\dta\bin.pbo"

I'm not sure how exactly it's launched as I have Steam version, but you should be able to manually launch it with the -mod parameter. Is there a batch file somewhere in the TOH directory?

I was looking for an answer to a similar problem and ran across this post. If it was never solved, here is how I got mine working:

with the -mod paramater (Steam version of TKOH, GOG version of ARMA:CO), it looks something like this:

"-mod=B:\GAMES\ARMA II - Combined Operations\arma2.exe; B:\GAMES\ARMA II - Combined Operations\arma2OA.exe; B:\GAMES\ARMA II - Combined Operations\expansion; B:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Take On Helicopters\Rearmed; Rearmed"

Hope that helps anyone else who runs into this problem.
