Don't know whether any forwarding-thinking team has picked this idea up already, but a Combined Arms WWII seems to have the potential to be a great platform to expand on the DCS WWII portfolio.

1) This can leverage asset already in the market/ in development (Combined Arms code with some period specific changes + Normandy Map)

2) The Combined Arm concept - close coordination between air and land assets to achieve mutually complementary effect - would work well in the Normandy campaign setting.

3) This can be the platform for a number of future modules - ground attack planes (e.g. Hawker Typhoon) on the air asset side and high(er) fidelity land assets (e.g. Panzer IV, V and VI, Sherman) that would appeal to audience in key markets (US, Western Europe at least).

Thoughts?

I certainly hope that it's in there in some shape or form, especially as with EDGE being used for Normandy it will already look good enough to have some tank battles.

I'm not as enthused if existing CA owners will have to buy it again for DCS WWII (as it seems CA is more about unlocking the ability to do things vs getting actual assets), but if one CA purchase covers the ability to do it in DCS WWII and DCS World it would improve the value of getting CA for both.

So, as a current CA owner who's not had very much to do with it so far, I don't know if I would pay again to have it for DCS WWII...unless it was dirt chip for existing CA owners, like a $10 DLC price or something.
