Does everyone have a problem with certain aircraft that stall too easily during combat?
It appears that the SE-5a, Pfalz DIIIa and DR1 have good stall characteristics but both SPADs, all Nieuports and all Albatros stall out too easily.
The software program obviously favors any AI aircraft as they appears never to stall too easily.
Is this stall problem a leftover from the original Microsoft CFS3? I realize that each aircraft has it's own
flight characteristics from 1915 to 1918 time periods as the war progressed, but planes like the SPAD XIII
seems to stall out to soon as it should be better than a Pfalz. As a result I keep getting shot down too easily.
What are some tips for stall problems?

I've seen plenty of AI stall and crash, so my definite impression is that the AI uses the same flight model.

Tweak until you can get stable 50-60 fps. Any lower and there is such a lag between control inputs and aircraft response that you don't get the right feedback, and aircraft control becomes a messy nightmare.

Keep in mind that WOFF is based on the old CFS3 engine, and it's possible to squeeze excellent performance from a modern PC, provided you find the right graphics options for your machine; it takes lots of fiddling, testing, rinse and repeat, but it's worth it. You'll be surprised how different the flight models feel once you hit the right spot, fps-wise.

It's an even battle between your opponent and your airspeed. You have to watch both simultaneously. It's not easy, but war is hell. wave

You also need to finesse your crate to where you want it to go. Yank & bank will kill you, every time.

Perhaps. But I've also seen AI put their aircraft into a spin and not be able to recover. I think the Devs have it right, it's just a matter of perception. When the AI doesn't happen to make any mistakes, it may look like they have an "advantage", but when they do make mistakes and stall the plane out, we think "the AI needs to be made better, it's screwing up."

OBD programmed the AI to act human. They will fly their planes to the best of their ability (which varies depending on skill level). Sometimes they get it right and sometimes they don't.

I've had victories where I put a few holes in the AI, but what killed them was an unrecoverable stall on their part. I've also died because I was the one who stalled out my plane and couldn't recover. I have to imagine both experiences were not that uncommon during the Great War.
