I have all 3 now and am currently playing through the first (reading the novel as well which is nice for some back story and fleshing out the lore) and although not as pretty as 2 or 3 it's still a great game. I really like the story and the enemies are interesting (even though they remind me of the Strogg from Quake smile ) with some great AI that have flanked me many a time.

Played a bit of 2 and 3 just to see what they're like and it's weird that 2 seems to look prettier than 3, but could be my eyes.

I've played through the single player campaign's in all three games and would probably give them a 7/10. I liked the story arc and the varied alien types. I did find the grey/bland look of the first game a bit disappointing, the sequel's added a wider colour palette and bigger bosses.

Yeah, it is very bleak in the first one but I think that fits the tone of the game, as there is little hope. Graphics have held up pretty good in the first game and its good to see a game set in the UK for once instead of the US (they move there for the second and third I know) and not in London.

I got all three as well. I started the first and have yet to try the others. I really do like the storyline and setting but the controls are a little uncomfortable to me. I know and can see why its a classic but it is an older shooter and I'm having a hard time picking it back up. I have yet to try the others but I assume the graphics are better.

Uncharted is a good example of seeing what they could do with the PS3 and then what they could eventually accomplish over time with the series using the PS3. The first still looks good but its a little rough. U2 exponentiates graphically. Its gorgeous and the 3rd installment just round it all out nicely.

Finished the first one last night and started the second. They changed the controls though so I'm still pressing buttons I was in Resistance 1 and end up firing a grenade instead of changing weapons biggrin

The second is a large leap graphically even though the first wasn't that bad I thought for its age.

I have Uncharted 3 still to play but may end up starting with 1.

Mace start with U1. Trust me. For the sake of back story and the enjoyment of seeing how the game progresses. Graphics and controls get better but U1 needs to be played first. Still has great graphics and as per Naughty Dog, awesome, movie-like plot and set pieces and platforming and mystery!

I played them U3, U1, U2 and had absolutely no problem understanding the plots.
