I wanted this on PC (before I bought a PS3) but couldn't due to my PC not even getting close to the minimum requirements!

So, I bought yesterday for PS3 and what a great game. Very hard though, not Dark Souls hard but definitely one that you need to assess and learn to beat the bosses. I haven't played a MGS game since way back on the PS1 with the original one, but I have MGS4 to play still althoughI may get the HD collection and play first smile

Its a very fast game but I like it and its funny that I couldn't stand playing Dark Souls over and over when I kept dieing on PC but I really don't mind and welcome the learning curve on this on PS3. Wonder if I should retry Dark Souls on it too...

Funny how over the last year I struggle to sit and play a game on the PC for more than 30 minutes without becoming bored yet I can play for hours on the PS3. Could it be because I'm sat on the sofa in front of a 42" HD TV? Or are my tastes changing again? Who knows but I'm enjoying it smile

I wasn't interested in that one but I like many of the other MG games. I really enjoyed Snake Eater and with the HD collection, you get the Subsistence version which included the fixed camera. I played through the original Snake Eater on PS2 with the horrid camera angles that worked in Sons of Liberty but not in an open jungle environment.

I progressed further along in MGS4 but I'm stuck in a reaaaallly hard place. I can't wait to play Ground Zeros and Phantom Pain. MGS games set in more open world environments.

I actually loathe boss battles but put up with them for the MGS games.

Mace I recommend you pick up Shadow of the Colossus. The HD remake for PS3. I haven't finished it yet but its a great little gem of a game. Has more of a Japanese look but its fantasy with huge giants to fight. The world is huge, sparse and yet full of atmosphere. Its impressive to see what they accomplished with PS2 hardware when they made this game. Your character has tangible physics and articulation and outside of Red Dead Redemption, this game seems to have created horse back riding in a way that other games fail to do.

I picked up Dark Souls for PS3 but I just can't handle it. I like creepy and I like fantasy but I don't like a game that makes me feel dread like that one does, trying to wander my way out of hell.

Wow, MGR is hard! I'm really getting used to a controller now but when I play it is after work and I'm tired and my brain and hands can't keep up with the action on screen lol. Great game though.
