For the first time since I purchased my new GTX 780 GPU can I honestly state that all my issues have been resolved with exception of game start up. Looks like OBD has fixed the stuttering, jaggies and white triangles issues. A great big thank you for everything OBD has done to date to assure that all our questions have been answered and patches supplied with the fixes. Absolute stellar customer service if I may say!!!!!!!!!!!! The game is running smooth and can now be enjoyed to it's fullest.

Don't hesitate, Adger - *finally* got up & running today (had to re-DL WOFF since I hadn't backed it up yet & had to re-create RAID volume when I switched mobo's) and it is a night & day improvement with the new CPU!

To be fair, 1.11 came out between the last time I ran the sim on my old AMD proc and today, so that may account for some of the improvement...but at the same time, my old AMD (FX-6100) was never completely perfect on OFF either (very subtle stuttering under certain circumstances).

WOFF 1.11 absolutely hums along on the new i7! I reverted back to default nvidia settings (b/c I wanted a good baseline before venturing into tweak-ville) and am running all the defaults in the workshop (5-3-3-5-5, high terrain texture, cloud fog off, etc) and I had to TRY to get the FPS below 60 - AMAZING! (I had to land and sweep my head past the hangers/buildings/planes to get an FPS drop - and even then it was high-40's)

HUGE thank you to the devs!!! (and to Intel for making some smokin' CPUs! smile )

NP! Good luck & have fun!

I've done a bit more testing - inclement weather, multiple planes in the air, etc - this thing is absolutely locked @ 60 FPS now.

Like I said in the other thread, v1.11 is definitely the cure (at least for me) regarding the stuttering problem!

Since the developers admit to changing "something" that cured this but won't reveal their secret, these 31 pages of blind trial and error can now be relegated to the archives as completely irrelevant. mycomputer

MajorMagee,

With all due respect, I would disagree that this entire topic is irrelevant as there are relevant suggestions and tweaks that can be used by members like me. Maybe some of the topic comments that are deemed relevant can be moved and the rest archived.

On another note, I amongst other WOFF players have done some serious tweaking and testing based on the issues mentioned and I have always thought there was an issue with WOFF and not the configuration of our rigs other than those that cannot meet or only meet minimum requirements. I do not think sound is part of this issue nor overclocking the GPU or CPU. I have not experienced the same issues in other more resource demanding gaming. After reinstalling WOFF with v1.11 patch all my issues disappeared and have not returned with everything maxed out in WOFF, GPU and CPU. Just the way it should be with steady 60FPS and minimal drop below 50 during heavy load!

We didn't find a special problem and 'cure' it. We simply optimised WOFF a little and for some people it happens to work well. However with PCs everyone will have a different experience, so these threads are important for some if they get general performance issues.

I've never had better after the sale support from any Developer than I've gotten from OBD. They are one of the very, very few companies that I will buy a product from knowing that it will be great right 'out of the box' and they will work their arses off to keep making it better.

Post some screen shots or videos of your campaigns sir. We'd all love to see them!
