Maybe we ought to have a Standalone sticky similar to the one created by Fearless Frog for DayZ Mod.
I hate to come into any game cold turkey without having at least RTFM or getting myself rated with the in-game equipment. It can be an extra burden for squadmates to shoulder a greenhorn in a combat environment.
The SA is similar in many ways to the Mod but different enough with its interface and interaction that even seasoned DayZ mod veterans get a little lost when first trying to navigate its intricacies.
Here are my top picks, and it includes some excellent videos that others have posted. Thank you for your contris :-
Mostly a rehash of what we already know with the exception of the new significantly faster turbo sprint mode introduced by the SA

How to use the Map
DayZDB has been the benchmark for online maps since DayZ came out and it has maintained the lead with the most detailed map for the SA. I usually have it opened on my laptop whilst playing the game :-
iZurvive has a less detailed online map but they also have the identical map available for offline use if you download to your Android or Apple device.
I'll link some medic tutorials once I find any that I like.
Many can be detailed but their presentation and production quality are not the best.
Funny enough, currently a Saline Bag restores full health whereas a blood bag does not and the saline has the added advantage that it can be used on anyone without the need to worry about rejection from using the wrong blood type.
I'm assuming its just not saline in those bags but some sort of meds that restores blood. Haven't actually used one. Are they one-use items ?
Yes harry they are, find an IV starter kit and add it to a saline bag and your good to go, in hands its just like the mods bloodbags. I add the loaded bag to the quick bar and the toon will get it out of the closed medkit in a backpack.
Morf and epis are the same deal, along with banadages, etc.
Thats why you roll with your friends in force whenever possible! And he thinks they stole his ammo, but I disagree, I think they took it so he couldn't retaliate in any way for a while after letting him go. I was them the smart money would be on his leaving the area and it will be a while until he can track ammo down again. This also reminds me of an idea I've had that I'll post in a separate thread now.
