Calling all skinners! I'm looking for a some quality custom skins of the aircraft flown by Fritz the Fox in his cartoons. (If you've never seen a Fritz the Fox cartoon before, you can find them at fritzthefox.com)

I am therefore hosting a Skin the Fox contest. Just submit a skin/add-on of one of Fritz's aircraft that is compatible with a contemporary flight sim (like Wings Over Flanders Fields) and include an in-game screenshot of the skin. If I like your work, you will receive a free copy of Fritz's DVD, The Blue Fox, in exchange for permission to offer your skin for download from Fritz's website.

Fritz's website includes a modeler's guide with reference graphics to assist you.

This offer is good while supplies last, so don't dally. Good luck and happy landings!

Fritz rules. I have both the WWI and WWII videos and never get sick of watching them. I sure would not mind having that Dr.1 skin.

I have never heard of fritz the fox, but maybe this is the way to find out. I'll try and do something up for you tonight.

I have no idea who this fox is, but that is very nice work you did.

Thank you sir. I have never heard of Fritz before this either. I enjoy making random skins out of my imagination, but I especially like trying to replicate something, like this one.

You sure have a talent for it...wish I could fathom how to even do it, might be nice to draw up some custom things for my pilots...although would probably take longer to create versus the amount of time they would stay alive:)

Thanks Grim, if you can figure out how to undo your last tool, thats half the battle, and you can do a lot with a little. On the DR1, I took and compiled a few aspects from a few separate skins. That actually started as Richtofen's red triplane as it was a nice solid color, most of the others are the brushed green and hard to do stuff with, added blue underwings from a different one, added the white stripe and insignia from another one as Richtofen's had the 1918 cross, not the 1917 one. Changed the hue and saturation on the red to blue, messed around with the hue and saturation a little more to get the light blue trim on the bottom of the sides and added the fritz insignias and changed the serial number.

If you want to try messing around, this is the program I have been using for years:
getpaint.net
Free and fairly easy to use.

Hey Fritz, here is your Albatros, a little harder to do, not quite as nice looking as the DR.1

Check your pm for the file

Thanks for the tips...not very good with the graphic problems but I might give it a shot. Your second plane looks great as well.

Wow, that was a quick response! Check your PM, Chrispdm1.

Does anyone know if it is possible to modify the 3D model, as well? It would be awesome to actually put Fritz the Fox in the cockpit...
