We wish all of our supporters and DCS players a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

We are still working hard on the MiG-21 through the holidays. As a small present below you can see the 99% finalized cockpit in-game test screens. (Notice the dynamic shadow/lights in the cockpit illumination).

Didn't see any lighting effects on the tree...

I guess that accounts for the missing 1 percent.

You guys must be seriously pleased with that pit. Thanks for the pics.

Just pretend you're flying a Polish bird; they never gave up their religion during the Cold War. CT

The average naval aviator, despite the sometimes swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy, and caring. These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

The tree animation is wrong... it doesn't agree to the bubble, while it should.

If the bubble shows a 'balanced' condition, then 'down' is towards the centreline of the cockpit, not the centre of the earth (it can be tilted forwards or rearwards by significant amounts though, depending on pitch angle, deceleration and bank and AOA values).

We know. smile

Currently it defies local gravity. We didn't really spend too much time on it. There are more easter eggs that were far more important. biggrin

I like Poland. They are mostly Roman Catholic. But, I am not letting you off the hook studio BECZL. It should have been
Wesolych Swiat not the English Merry Christmas. Bet some of the tree lights are missing. It just this lack of attention to detail that really bugs me about studio BECZL wink

P.S. what is up with SimHQ and accented characters. It previewed ok, but came out as
Wesołych Świąt when I posted.

Just pretend the ornament isn't on a string but a stiff wire, so its tension can go against gravity. smile

The tree is obviously being blown around by the fan.

I believe this is the first dcs module to model the fan physics. I am concerned the effect may be overdone - should it's integration with the movement/forces in-cockpit actually result in what we see in the screenies?

I know the fan model hasn't actually been added yet, but it's widely known that every Russian aircraft has one.

It's modeled in the Mi-24 in EECH. It's awesome there.
