Over all it looks quite good. Needs a little clean-up on the tires and the roundel is not a perfect circle but I think those are minor and easy fixes. It is quite an impressive first attempt Sir! Don't stop now! You are on a roll!

On second thought. Leave the tires alone. It does seem to look more like dirt. Maybe just smear it a little bit.

It was Abeele in Flanders in QC mission. I was checking out Panama Red's Thunder storm weather.

I'm going to try that one again

Update: This time all Pups stayed above ground on landing! Guess the ground crews did their job! biggrin

Since I didn't drink last night I was up nice and early for a couple of campaign flights. Sorry for all the pics. I was feeling "artsy" for the New Year.

SweetFX and Additional Weather Types mod enabled. Also experimenting with some spring tiles that are lighter in color - more winter/spring transition (lighter/browner) instead of the full spring (green) tiles of stock WOFF. With JGSME I just have to decide when its early spring (browner) and latter spring (greener). Nice to have options!

60 Squadron forming up.

60 Squadron in flight, err, me actually. One cool thing about the lighter tiles is they really show off the shadows - in this case the cloud shadows.

Dawn patrol with 56 Squadron - forming up.

56 Squadron. Again the ground shadows really show.

56 Squadron. I am always amazed by the light and shadow play in the cockpit. Note the light reflection on the instruments. How cool is that?

EDIT: Yes Andy these were provided by PR. Since he just announced them himself the word is out.

2.0 has improved spring ground tiles.

IMO those modded spring tiles do not at all look like northern France/Belgium. But that's my opinion and of course each to his own

thumbsup

You may be right Creaghorn but never having been to northern France or Belgium in the spring I luckily have the "suspension of belief" factor going for me. Been about everyplace else in Europe, and the world for that matter, but never there at that time.

Anyway WOFF spring tiles are great, and for me, these are not meant to replace them, but to use in early spring when everything is a bit brown- at least in my neck of the woods.
Just pulling this out of my arse but I will probably give these a go in my campaign flights from March to maybe mid-April ? Maybe a little before. Then the WOFF green after that.
God bless JGSME. And people who mod for that matter. That's the beauty of it all - making it all seem real (enough) in my own mind. Adds to the fun!

Satellite screen shot from Google Earth early to mid spring near Sainte Marie Cappel. A pretty close comparison to Duke's screenshots.

Grass iself looks darker in the google shots and overall effect is not as light as the screenshots above, those P3 ones look worse to me compared to WOFF -good as they were at the time.
Remember the Expansion also has better tiles again for Spring etc and improved in co-operation with AnKor to be more suitable for bumb mapping.

If you guys post screenshots with modded terrain could you please make it very clear in any posts. Thanks.

With SweetFX enabled, you have to set AA from your card directly, overriding the game's setting... wink

One second, everything is fine, then this! ('Woner if I need a Force Feedback stick/)
