A bit disappointed about the (late) release, but I fully understand.

Can't wait to play with this baby!

1. What are the plans for missions/campaigns? Also need any help?

2. Whats the status on implementing the Mig-21 and vehicle pack into the sim without purchase? Is it going to be added to the sim with the help of ED or will it be like a separate mod pack?

3. GCI, is it a mission side script or built into the module? Could other aircraft utilize it?

1.) We have basic plans how mission/campaings will need to be look. But we are looking for experienced mission builders as well.

2.) It will be a separated mod pack...

3.) Built into MiG-21 module. Only DCS level planes can be use that...Due it use custom radio channel for communication.

Can you give some data of level or realistic of that GCI feature?

See my answer 3.) It is not belong ED (DCSW).
Basically works same way as AWACS. You will have a GCI control center that you can place anywhere on the map. Than you have to add at least one (up to 12) EWR radars within same group. EWR's provide info's about enemy position to GCI control center than comm. center transmit data to your plane as well. So if any radar destroyed you wont have info from their sector, also terrain affect radar scan as well.. and so on...

Well, as long as we don't have to wait until March 2016 for it. biggrin

I'm a bit fed up with the new deadline, but I'm looking on it as a worst-case scenario and I'm not actually losing (much) sleep!

Seeing the quality of what they've shown so far I'm thinking the 21 will be pretty special.

I take comfort from expecting a teensy bit of early access since I contributed to the crowdfunding. Was a long time ago, mind. Don't recall when, exactly...

I don't understand how people are impressed with 'what we have seen so far', MOST if not all of us have seen anything yet, except from 3ds Max screenshots, a really dark with no textures in game screenshot.

This isn't to say that the Mig 21 won't be great but lets wait to give them credit for all the hard work when we actually see the hard work. Making SS in 3dsMax is easy, making at night screen shots is easy. This is already a year late and now 3 more months is kind pathetic actually

We've been through that before. The cockpit shots were from DCS, as I recall.

Well producing a quality HIgh poly playable model WITH a cocpit that works PLUS the LOD's and damages can take a hell of alot of time. Not even counting the various texture maps. Sounds like older stuff got dropped and remade from scratch. This is one of those things that can take experienced folks who do this every day full time 1/2 a year without many issues cropping up. With issues EEEkk. If its just one of many things on the plate, ya its gonna take time.

IMO better to go for quality than release a mess. But 4 months ain't that bad from now. And its a solid "more or less" date. I bet they make that at this point or even beat it.

You are seriously getting on my nerves. You CONSTANTLY berate us for EVERYTHING we do, and at that you're just wrong ALL THE TIME.

Insult after insult from you, both here and on Facebook.
You accused us of posting "bullshots" when the Max shots look verifiably WORSE than it looks in-game.

We posted TONS of Cockpit in-game screenshots in the latest update:

So which shots should I base my opinion on?

The latest ones from DCS or the old ones from 3ds Max?

Silly.

Let's list all the benefits that can come from these naysayers:

And done.

Hard to imagine what they really think they're accomplishing here. I guess it's some sort of thrill, are they eager to say "I told you so" or something? It's not constructive criticism, it's just "I don't believe it!" in various ways. Big deal. That takes an impressive amount of intelligence, or a spambot, to get done.

I'm with you on this Jedi...

Pretty easy to sit back and snipe at someone else's efforts while contributing absolutely nothing to the project or the community. I hope these people leave it alone so the rest of us can anticipate in peace.

Agreed. Just put your head down, don't engage, and keep moving forward. The documented progress is impressive and will be worth the wait.

At least we know this plane will look great. Anyone complaining about it will be against how DCS renders it, not the base artwork.

Now things like FM and avionics we can't judge yet, and if there are issues I fully expect people here to point them out and for them to get fixed in a few months' time. Because that will be constructive. Because that helps.

Of course, the irony is if you criticize these people in the same way they criticize these titles, they accuse you of personal attacks. Pot, kettle, black.
